Integral Disciple Making Movement (IDMM) brings together the principles of Disciple Making Movement and Community Health Evangelism — equipping people to grow spiritually, physically, and socially.
Spiritual, physical, social, and emotional growth — for individuals, families, and communities.
IDMM is a holistic approach to evangelism and community transformation that combines Disciple Making Movement (DMM) and Community Health Evangelism (CHE). It addresses the spiritual, physical, and social needs of individuals and communities — leading to lasting transformation for the glory of God.
"In you, all the families of the earth shall be blessed." — Genesis 12:3
At the heart of IDMM is a belief in simplicity, multiplication, and community ownership. Groups form around felt needs — young mothers, health topics, livelihoods — and discover both practical knowledge and God's love together.
Every IDMM effort follows five interconnected goals, from entering a community to witnessing lasting transformation.
Form a team. Pray earnestly. Enter the community, build relationships, and find the person of peace.
Share God's Big Story — creation, the fall, and restoration through Jesus. Invite people into discovery.
Start discovery groups where Word and health are explored together. Grow integral disciples in all areas of life.
Disciples lead new groups. Groups form hubs. Hubs plant new hubs and home fellowships.
Communities experience healthy homes, acts of love, seed projects, and sustainable change led from within.
Discovery groups are the engine of IDMM — small gatherings of family, friends, or people with shared interests, meeting regularly around Word and life.
When 3 or more discovery groups form within a 5 km area, they become a hub — meeting weekly with an IDMM trainer to review Bible passages and health topics, then taking those back to their groups.
Hubs plan community improvement projects using local resources — cleaning up neighborhoods, health initiatives, literacy programs — building community ownership and visibility.
As believers multiply, they begin practicing elements of church — worship, prayer, Bible study, baptism, and communion — right in their homes and community halls.
Five dimensions of health: emotional, mental, physical, social — and the palm: spiritual. God cares about all of them. The thumb represents wise decision-making. No specialist is needed — everyone is called to be an integral disciple.
IDMM is rooted in the narrative of Creation, Fall, and Restoration through Jesus — restoring peace in all four dimensions of life.
Relationship with our Creator, broken by sin, restored through Jesus Christ and obedience to His commands.
Reconciled relationships with family, neighbors, and community — expressed through acts of love and truth.
Inner wholeness, identity in Christ, emotional health, and growing in wisdom and decision-making.
Stewardship of the environment, physical health, and caring for the world God entrusted to humanity.
IDMM rolls out in four clear phases, from casting vision to sustaining multiplication on the ground.
A master trainer shares the IDMM vision with local leaders and pastors. They embrace it and identify male and female leaders to send for full training.
25–30 leaders from local organizations and churches are trained in IDMM principles by the master training team. They leave equipped to start teams and groups.
Trained leaders form local teams, pray regularly for their communities, and look for the person of peace. The master training team meets with them regularly to encourage implementation.
After identifying the person of peace, the team starts a discovery group based on a felt community need — such as a young mothers' group using the First Thousand Days curriculum. The goal is always to raise up leaders from within the community itself.
Whether you're a pastor, church leader, or development worker, IDMM training is available. Take the first step toward wholistic transformation.
